CHRIST HAS RISEN!!!
Did you know that Easter is so much more than chocolate bunnies, painting eggs and baskets full of toys? Of course you do, but even more important, do your kids? Easter, like so many other holidays, has really turned into a very commercial type holiday. A holiday where retail stores will try just about anything to get you to purchase things that have nothing to do with the true meaning or spirit of the holiday. There is nothing wrong with celebrating Easter with eggs and Easter baskets, but there is something wrong with not sharing the true meanings with your kids as part of the celebration. Jesus did not paint eggs, he did not hide them for his disciples to find. And I'm not 100% percent sure, but I don't think he ever ate a chocolate bunny.Take the time this Easter to sit down and share the story of Easter with your kids. Make sure they understand WHY and WHO we celebrate! Share the good news, that our Christ LIVES!!!
