FREE Parking:
Parking at the fair is $10

FREE parking is available everyday at Horsepark, on the corner of Via de la Valle & El Camino Real. On Saturday and Sunday, FREE parking is also available at the Torrey Pines High Schhol & MiraCosta College's San Elijo campus.  The FREE parking locations all provide FREE shuttles to and from the fairgrounds.

***While FREE parking is nice, there is a downside. The lines during peak hours can get very long. The fair staff do a great job at keep everything moving a smooth as possible. For those with very small children, I suggest paying and parking at the fairgrounds if possible. Traveling on the shuttle with a stroller can be a little bit of a challenge, and if you are spending the entire day at the fair, you along with the kids might not want to deal with the madness of waiting for the shuttle back to your parking location. If you are purchasing a COSTCO fair package, your parking is already included.

Fair Food

It's almost impossible to go to the fair and not be tempted to taste the food! But if you give in to temptation, you can very easily go broke.

Picnic at the fair: YES...you can bring your own food to the fair. Whether it's homemade sandwiches or Mcdonald's dollar menu, you can bring a cooler full of just about anything you want. All drink containers must be factory sealed and NO ALCOHOL.

$2 Tuesday Taste of the Fair: Every Tuesday is $2 Taste of the fair. Many vendors will offer sample sizes of their food for $2. **Be very careful, while $2 seems cheap, it can add up really fast. Sometimes its cheaper to pay full price for one of you favorite food items, instead of sampling several of your favorites.

FREE Entertainment

There are plenty of free attractions: All the Fair exhibits are free with admission; the flower and garden show; all the animals, gems, art, photo, home and hobby displays; woodworking; and much more.

The Fair has free entertainment all day and long into the evenings on eight stages, plus daily animal or motor sports shows in the Chevrolet Del Mar Arena. Nationally known entertainers are featured nightly on the Heineken Grandstand Stage. Many of the Grandstand shows are free with admission to the Fair, and all entertainment on other stages is free with admission.
