Mother's Day Weekend Guide May 6 - May 8

They build the world with love and care
  One infant at a time.
Their work does more than courts and kings
To rid the world of crime.
The interest on the gifts they bring
  This world could never pay.
And so, we pause to honor them
  Each year on Mother’s Day.

Happy Mother's Day to all of our loving Mommies

Friday 5.06.2011

This Friday, instead of our normal Friday Night Movie picks, I think it's a great idea to prepare for an even more important day that is just around the corner. And if you're a dad and you still have no idea what I am talking about...you might be in trouble! But don't worry...Dad's must stick together and I've got some ideas that are perfect, even at the last minute.

Everything you need for a beautiful and FREE Mother's Day!

Making Mother's Day Cards: Nothing says Happy Mothers Day like a homemade card and our friends at Disney Movie Rewards have created 2 great cards that you can print out and then have the kids add the finishing touches.

Mother's Day Gift Idea: Help the kids to make a coupon book for mom. On each coupon help the kids come up with different favors that they can do for mom. Example: "Help mommy take the laundry out of the dryer" or "Help mommy take out the trash" Or you can even make coupons for free kisses and hugs. Have the kids color each coupon and then help them to organize them into a little book. What's that...you're not that creative...ok...CLICK HERE for some examples that are ready for you to click and print. Just have the kids add color!

Mother's Day Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner: Think about mom's most favorite home cooked dish and plan on making it for Mother's Day. Help the kids to create a special menu with all of the selections that you have planned. Instead of prices, put the amount of hugs or kisses it will cost. Let the kids decorate and color the menu and then hide it until Sunday. When it's time to eat, have the kids pretend they are the waiters and take mommies order. Don't forget to make her pay for her food!

Mother's Day Movie Night:  Pop some popcorn, or make some bowls of ice cream and get the family together after dinner or even in the middle of the day for a family movie. Let mom take her pick for today's feature presentation!

You're all set for Mother's Day!
