Well, I've got a bunch of suggestions for things to do this week!

MONDAY

Everyday this week - San Diego Zoo Play Day - Front Street
Fiesta Time ( 4 p.m. Daily ) One of our animal ambassadors will break open a piñata filled with prizes!
Viva Flamingos ( 2 p.m. Daily )Get the inside scoop on the flamingo flock.
Happy Hour for Adults & Kids (4 - 6 p.m. Daily )Tasty treats—and delicious deals—for all ages await!

Visit the Chula Vista Nature CenterThe Chula Vista Nature Center is a living, breathing, flapping, buzzing and splashing home to the unique animals and plants of Southern California.  6 miles south of downtown San Diego, the Nature Center sits on the 316-acre Sweetwater Marsh National Wildlife Refuge. TUESDAY:

Balboa Park Museums - FREE to San Diego City & County residents (with ID), Active Military & their dependents. This weeks FREE museums are:

Padres Home Opener & East Village Opening Day Block Party 1130-5pm - Come to East Village to celebrate the Padres season opener where they take on the Giants! Radio XX1090 will be broadcasting live with four sister stations. There's music, food, beer, family activities, and retail merchandise. It's a great place to mingle with other baseball fans.

San Diego Zoo Play Day - Urban Jungle
Meerkat Munch Bunch ( 10:30 Daily )
Watch the meerkats catch and crunch crickets and mealworms.
Giraffe Feeding ( Noon, Thursday - Sunday )
Help feed the giraffes—3 giraffe biscuits for $5.
Camel Close-up ( 11:30 a.m. Daily )
One lump or two? Find out when you meet a Bactrian camel.

Experience a Grunion Run 1030pm-1230am  - Grunion run program hosted by Birch Aquarium-Museum (which doesn't take place at museum). Presentation on grunion, followed by chance to witness grunion eggs hatching on beach. Bring flashlight and warm jacket. Required reservations: 858-534-7336. Admission: $12 ages 6 and up. If you are familiar with the Grunion Run, you can watch all the activity for free as well. CLICK HERE for information and expected grunion run dates on the California Department Fish and Game Web site.

San Diego Zoo Play Day - Discovery Outpost
Show Me the Buggies! ( 10 a.m., 11 a.m., Noon, 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. Daily )
Laugh and learn during Dr. Zoolittle's bug show.
Sea Lions Rock ( 1 p.m., 5 p.m. Daily )
Fun filled animal show with pre-show bead toss!
Tortoises - The Big Gulp (2:15 p.m. Daily )
Help feed the giant Galápagos tortoises.

Visit the U.S. Olympic Training Center - The Copley Visitor Center is open to the public 10am-5pm Monday through Sunday. Guided public tours available on Saturday at 11:00am, walk-in only. Self-guided tours are available daily from 9:00am - 4:00 pm.







SeaWorld Spring into Nights: Daily from April 1-11 and then each weekend in April, SeaWorld Springs into the late nights.  Lake Elsinor Storm Opening Day - If you love baseball and have never been to a Lake Elsinor Storm game, you have no idea what you are missing. Just a short drive up the 15 freeway, the Lake Elsinor Storm baseball team offer fun filled family nights. The Storm are the Padres AA baseball team, and showcase the Padres of the future. There are tons of great deals and almost every night is a promotion night. Golf FestMickelson, then you won't want to miss this! Golf fest offers free lesson for golfers of all ages and abilities. Padres Car Series - Lowrider Showcase 430pm-8pm - Before the Padres take on the Los Angeles Dogers, a pre-game Lowrider Showcase unveils. A fine collection of these decorated vehicles are lined up along the street for viewing and judging. You'll also see an amazing hydraulic demonstration where a specialized lowrider vehicle comes to life.
